Today, we sit down with Dr. Talal Hilal, a physician who is originally from Syria. He completed his medical school training at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) campus in Bahrain in 2012. He applied for residency training as an IMG in 2013.
He did his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky, and graduated in 2016. At the time of this interview, he was chief fellow in the Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ and graduated in the summer of 2019.
His clinical interests are hematology (specifically lymphoproliferative disorders), application of evidence-based medicine in clinical practice, and pragmatic trial designs.
